Simply beautiful - Once Reviews

I expected a lot going in with all the hype surrounding this film. This film did not disappoint. It is simply one of the best films I have seen in years. The music is simply fabulous, though I do agree with other reviewers who have made the point that if you don't like the style of music it will detract from your enjoyment of the film. Even if you don't like the music, the film stands alone as a singular achievement. Its documentary style, cast of real musicians and unknowns, lean running time, and simple story of two people finding each other, love, and finally themselves through the music they make is pitch perfect. I highly recommend this film.
